Dr. Edgar Martorell is a board certified rheumatologist and member of the American College of Rheumatology. 

He completed his medical education at the UPR-School of Medicine and his medical training at the world renowned Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education where he was awarded the Mayo Brothers Distinguish Award. This award was in recognition of an outstanding record in clinical performance, humanitarianism, research, and scholarly activities. In 2007, Dr. Martorell completed his fellowship in Rheumatology at the prestigious Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He also completed additional training in musculoskeletal sonography at the University of Rochester and the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. In addition, he completed a comprehensive program on Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Academy of Pain Research in San Francisco, California with an emphasis on herbal supplemental treatment for fibromyalgia and arthritic conditions. 

During his training in Rheumatology, he published several research articles at various academic journals. During his training, he participated in the implementation of a research protocol for the use of new diagnostic test for lupus. At present, he is an active participant of the Medicare's MIPS/MACRA initiatives for quality care. Dr. Martorell lives in Central Florida with his wife and their 3 children. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, visiting local attractions, playing sports, nature and camping.

 Dr. Carlos A Sanchez Torres has joined the ARC Arthritis & Rheumatology Clinic as a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner.

Carlos Sanchez, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC completed his medical degree at the Medical University of Camagüey, Cuba in 1996. He completed a postgraduate fellowship in Rheumatology in 2009 at the University Of Medical Sciences Of Havana. After completing his rheumatology training, he obtained further medical experience working in Cuba, Venezuela and Colombia. In 2015, he moved to the United States where he completed his advanced nurse practitioner degree at the Miami Regional University in 2021.

During his training in Rheumatology, he published several research articles and participated in the implementation of a research protocol for the use of a new monoclonal antibody for rheumatoid arthritis. Dr.Sanchez lives in Central Florida with his wife where he enjoys spending time with his friends & family, visiting local beaches and playing sports.
