Dr. Edgar Martorell is a highly respected board-certified rheumatologist and an esteemed member of the American College of Rheumatology. He brings a wealth of expertise and a compassionate approach to patient care, honed through years of distinguished education and training.

Dr. Martorell earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and pursued advanced medical training at the prestigious Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education. There, he was honored with the Mayo Brothers Distinguished Award, a testament to his excellence in clinical performance, humanitarian efforts, research, and academic contributions.

In 2007, Dr. Martorell completed a fellowship in Rheumatology at the renowned Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He further specialized in musculoskeletal sonography with advanced training at the University of Rochester and the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. His commitment to expanding his knowledge led him to the Academy of Pain Research in San Francisco, California, where he completed an extensive program in Chinese Herbal Medicine, focusing on herbal treatments for fibromyalgia and arthritic conditions.

Dr. Martorell’s dedication to advancing rheumatology is reflected in his numerous research publications and his involvement in the development of a new diagnostic test for lupus during his fellowship. Currently, he is actively engaged in Medicare’s MIPS/MACRA initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of quality care in his field.

Residing in Central Florida, Dr. Martorell cherishes time with his wife and three children. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys reading, exploring local attractions, playing sports, and embracing the beauty of nature through camping and outdoor activities. His commitment to both his family and his patients embodies a balance of professional excellence and personal warmth.

Dr. Arnol Chacon APRN

Born and raised in Holguín, Cuba, Arnol Chacon is a compassionate and dedicated physician with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Holguín and began his career as a family practitioner, where he spent five years building strong relationships with his patients and providing personalized care. In 2003, driven by a deep commitment to helping others, Dr. Chacon further specialized in General Surgery.

Dr. Chacon's passion for making a difference led him to join the transplant team at the Clinical Surgical Hospital Lucia Iñiguez Landín in Holguín. There, he played a crucial role in performing numerous renal transplants, including the groundbreaking procedure of the first renal transplant on a child outside of Cuba's capital. He also dedicated himself to conducting vascular procedures for hemodialysis, offering life-changing care to patients with renal failure.

Committed to continuous learning and excellence in patient care, Dr. Chacon completed a master's degree in infectious diseases and served as an Assistant Professor at the Clinical Surgical Hospital of Holguín, where he guided and mentored surgical residents. His expertise and dedication took him beyond Cuba, as he provided surgical and clinical care in Zimbabwe from 2009 to 2011 and in Venezuela from 2012 to 2014.

In 2014, Dr. Chacon brought his wealth of experience to the United States, where he began working as a medical assistant before becoming an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in 2020. He joined the American College of Rheumatology and has since focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients with rheumatologic disorders, including lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, and fibromyalgia.

Fluent in both Spanish and English, Arnol Chacon, APRN, is not only a skilled medical professional but also a dedicated individual who values physical activity and family time. A black belt in Shotokan-style karate, he enjoys staying active and believes in the importance of balance in life. Above all, Arnol Chacon, APRN remains deeply committed to his patients, ensuring that they receive the attentive, empathetic care they deserve.

Dr. Carlos Sanchez APRN

Born and raised in Cuba, Dr. Carlos Sanchez is an esteemed and deeply caring physician, known for his unwavering dedication. He brings over 25 years of dedicated medical experience and knowledge to his patients. Dr. Sanchez, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, earned his medical degree from the Medical University of Camagüey in 1996. He further specialized in Rheumatology, completing a postgraduate fellowship at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana in 2009. During this time, he contributed significantly to medical research, publishing several articles and playing a key role in developing a new monoclonal antibody treatment for rheumatoid arthritis.

Dr. Sanchez’s medical journey has taken him across borders, providing compassionate care in Cuba, Venezuela, and Colombia. In 2015, he moved to the United States, where he continued to advance his expertise, earning his Advanced Nurse Practitioner degree from Miami Regional University in 2021.

In 2021, he joined the ARC Arthritis & Rheumatology Clinic as a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner. Fluent in both Spanish and English, he is deeply committed to providing patient-centered care, ensuring that each patient feels heard and supported throughout their treatment journey.  He excels in providing expert care to patients with conditions such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, sarcoidosis, vasculitis, and fibromyalgia. Carlos Sanchez APRN now resides in Central Florida with his wife and children. Outside of his professional life, he cherishes time with his family and friends, family cookouts, the beauty of local beaches, and stays active through various sports.

Dr. Tina Kyei-Donkor DNP

Dr. Ernestina Kyei-Donkor, born in Ghana, has always been guided by a deep compassion for others. Beginning her journey as a midwife, she helped bring over 100 new lives into the world, a testament to her nurturing spirit. Today, she is a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with more than 15 years of specialized experience in rheumatology, as well as extensive expertise in cardiology, endocrinology, and internal medicine. Certified and licensed in the State of Florida as a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Dr. Kyei-Donkor is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-focused care with a gentle and understanding approach.

Dr. Kyei-Donkor earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 2015. She also holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with an emphasis in Adult Nurse Practitioner from Andrews University, obtained in 2001, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Southern Adventist University, earned in 1998.

Her journey into rheumatology began almost unexpectedly. After two years of practicing in rheumatology starting in 2003, she transitioned to cardiology for seven years, gaining invaluable experience. But in 2010, she returned to her true passion: rheumatology. Since then, she has excelled in managing and treating a wide range of rheumatologic conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, sarcoidosis, vasculitis,  relapsing polychondritis, Sjögren's syndrome, uveitis, fibromyalgia, CREST syndrome, systemic sclerosis, and lupus.

Dr. Kyei-Donkor's approach to patient care is deeply rooted in empathy and respect. She understands that each patient is unique, and she takes the time to listen, providing them with the information they need to feel empowered and informed about their condition and treatment. Her warmth and compassion makes her a trusted and beloved figure to those she cares for.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Kyei-Donkor is a devoted mother of two and a loving wife. She finds joy in traveling, exploring new interests, and collecting unique spoons and pens. Above all, she treasures spending quality time with her family, creating cherished memories together.
